Deep Self-Massage: Releasing the Fears from the 27 Zones of the Body is an unprecedented self-massage training opportunity for healing professionals and anyone who desires to create a loving, harmonious relationship between the body, heart and mind. This eloquent 8.5 hour video series -To be done at your own pace at your own place- includes a detailed printable manual, live webinars with Satyarthi and a 2 hour bonus recording.
In 1974 Satyarthi became a student of Bolivian born Oscar Ichazo Arica, the originator of proven techniques to transcend self-limiting patterns towards liberation of the True Self. Oscar taught a self-massage practice called Chua K’a Bodywork, using a wooden K’a’ stick, to release the fears frozen in the 27 zones of the body.
As a bodyworker, Satyarthi proceeded to create a simpler, yet more sophisticated version of Chua K’a Bodywork. Satyarthi replaced the K’a stick with the hands to move more deeply into the emotional and psychological energy patterns locked within the fascial tissue. Satyarthi wove these deep self-massage techniques into MER training modules. As humanity took a collective pause with the pandemic in the early months of 2020, Satyarthi introduced the first comprehensive training of Deep Self Massage: Releasing the Fears from the 27 Zones of the Body, in Cologne, Germany.
I took part in the sessions of MER Deep Self Massage in Spring 2020, in the middle of lockdown. I was isolating alone at home for months, living mostly in my head. With each session, Satyarthi opened a space for my body and mind to breathe, to move, to feel togetherness and lightness and laughter. It is not only his knowledge and skill: He has the unique ability to guide each of us to easily flow into contact with our body-mind, individually and together.

This profound yet easy routine is specifically designed to relieve chronic pain, restore vitality, resilience and equanimity through the discharge of mental stress, physical tension and emotionally held fears lodged within the 27 zones of the body. These fears are tightly coiled in the fascial tissue. Each zone is associated with a specific fear. For example, the lower back holds the “Fear of Abandonment.” With direct application of pressure with the fingers, palms, back of hands and knuckles aligned with conscious breathing and self-awareness, this multi-dimensional deep self-massage practice initiates the unwinding of long held fears.
