Event Summary

This 6-day training program prepares participants to teach a 3-day introductory MER workshop, focusing on the lower back, neck, and thorax. Ideal for those seeking to deepen their expertise in myofascial bodywork, the training combines foundational theory, practical skills, and hands-on techniques. Graduates will be equipped to teach a basic MER session and guide others in addressing pain and tension in these areas. This program is designed exclusively for certified MER practitioners.

The full curriculum consists of 6 hours of online classes and 6 days of in-person training, totaling 65 hours.

Training Overview

  • This program emphasizes hands-on application and teaching methods. Participants will learn to:
  • Guide groups in addressing lower back and neck pain.
  • Hold space for individuals and present workshop elements effectively.
  • Conduct morning meditation sessions.
  • Deliver presentations on fascia and the anatomy of the back and neck.
  • Demonstrate techniques for the back, neck, and shoulders.
  • Facilitate Q&A sessions and manage group dynamics.
  • Understand transference and countertransference.

What You’ll Learn

  1. Facilitating MER Groups: Lead safe, resonant sessions with a focus on group dynamics, participant needs, and creating a supportive environment.
  2. Core MER Techniques: Master the seven elements of MER—breath, movement, sound, touch, emotion, meditation, and pain relief—along with trauma-sensitive techniques like titration and pendulation.
  3. Handling Group Challenges: Develop compassionate strategies for managing countertransference, resolving conflicts, and staying present during difficult interactions.
  4. Guiding MER Demo Sessions: Gain confidence in demonstrating and overseeing MER techniques, helping participants address lower back and neck pain.

Certification & Incentives

  • Receive MER certification upon completion.
  • Gain guidance on promoting and marketing future workshops.
  • Have your groups promoted on the global MER website for introductory workshops.

Empowerment Through MER
