My path to reconnecting with my own body began with yoga, which I have been practicing and teaching for more than a dozen years. It was yoga that allowed me to consciously experience the subtle connections between body, mind, emotions and the energy that permeates them. And at one point, through non-obvious paths, it led me to MER bodywork, which was the perfect complement and deepening of the way I wanted to work with myself and others. MER impresses me first and foremost with its very balanced and mindful approach to bodywork. The intensive manual practice here is combined with great attentiveness to its emotional and energetic effects, allowing to work at a really deep level. Today, this is the primary method I use to assist others in releasing tension – not just on a physical level.
